This monthly social event is free and open to everyone. Come by if you want to meet other people who care about our city, network, or hear from an inspirational speaker at a local pub. You can find us in the billiards room on the lower level, and our guest speaker starts at 6:30 PM.
Our guest this month is Katie Wilson, a co-founder of the Transit Riders Union currently serving as its General Secretary. Since 2012 TRU has been a leading force in making public transit more affordable and accessible through programs such as ORCA LIFT, Seattle Youth ORCA, and King County’s Human Services Bus Ticket Program. Last year TRU helped to lead the campaign for a Seattle progressive income tax, which is currently making its way to the Washington State Supreme Court. Now TRU is working with the Housing For All Coalition to shift Seattle’s response to the homelessness and housing crisis.
