Our guest speaker this month is Jesús Aguirre, Superintendent of the Seattle Parks and Recreation Department.
Aguiree previously served as the director of the District of Columbia Department of Parks and Recreation. In this role, Aguirre focused on outcomes-based programs and an emphasis on providing equal access to all. Aguirre is bringing his commitment to equal access and data driven programming to Seattle Parks and Recreation. He will be leading Seattle’s department through the national accreditation process, along with several strategic planning processes for the future of Seattle’s parks and recreation facilities within a thriving and rapidly growing city.
